Jon has a duel role which is as Treasurer to York and North Yorkshire Probation Trust (since June 2004) and as Deputy Director of Finance to the West Yorkshire Probation Trust.

His main duties are managing the Finance Team which undertakes budget planning, expenditure monitoring, financial advice to the Board, annual accounts, payroll/expenses, creditor payments, debt collection, insurance and property related issues.

Jon is a qualified accountant (CIPFA - 1994) and has worked for the Probation Service since 1986, when he worked his way up the ladder from office junior to his current position. He began his career in 1983, working within the West Yorkshire Metropolitan County Council Finance Department.

His outside interests include his family, supporting Leeds United AFC, managing his local junior football team and angling – though it is fair to say he actually likes most sports.
